The Department of Tamil gives students the opportunity to learn about linguistics from the perspective of grammar as well as literature. Students of BA Tamil Literature can pursue careers in various fields, such as teaching, publishing, journalism, translation, research, and more. They can also pursue higher education in Tamil literature or related fields such as linguistics, comparative literature, or cultural studies.
Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary School Examinations of Tamilnadu or an examination like the CBSC recognized by the Universities as equivalent thereto and studied Tamil in +2.
