The Campus Ministry Committee works with a mission to touch and transform the lives of young students. Regular catechism classes for all Catholic students and moral instruction classes for all non-Catholic students are conducted on every Monday to enhance the spiritual knowledge of the students.
The National Service Scheme affords opportunities for service, to develop character, team spirit and leadership qualities. It creates a way to social awareness. To create an awareness on NSS, st.Justin has included a paper on NSS as a skill based subject in the curriculum of the III year students. A regular assessment of NSS volunteers will be done by the NSS Programme Officer concerned.
Every students of the I, II and III year degree classes should undergo the courses of Physical Education prescribed by the college. General Physical Education classes will be held daily from 3.15p.m to 4.00p.m.
The Eco Club under the guidance of the IQAC has adopted the following measures in its effort to institutionalize its environmental policy The Eco Club has collaborated with the Swatch Bharat Mission team in the college to make a greener environment by segregating dry and wet wastes and minimizing of the use of plastics. The institution has switched over largely to LED appliances to cut down on energy consumption. Earth Day is celebrated with a renewed focus on the greening of the campus. Regular programmes are held in the college to make the students aware of environmental concerns. Student volunteers under the pioneering efforts of the Eco Club participate in clean-up drives in the locality.
Electoral Literacy Club was initiated to create awareness on the importance of elections and voting. Coordinators have been appointed to monitor the activity of the club. National voter’s day is celebrated to make the students aware on the importance of voting.
Conducts Blood Donation Camps. Visits Orphanage and Old age Homes. Arranges guest lectures on Anti Smoking and Drug Abuse. Conducts General Health Screening Camps. Organizes First Aid Training programmes. Organizes Environment awareness camps. Cleaning the public places like library, Temples and Churches every fortnight. Taking care of the plants of the college along with the Eco club.
The college has adopted a village by name EASANOOR, about 3 kilometers away from the college. The college aims to work for the betterment of the village in all aspects and uplift the village with the help of the students and staff.
The Institution is bound by the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions 2009 hence ragging in all forms is totally banned in the college. The institution shall take strict action against those found guilty of ragging and/or of abetting ragging. The burden of proof shall hereby lie on the perpetrator of alleged ragging and not on the victim. An offence of Ragging may be charged either on a written complaint by the affected or on independent filing of the Anti Ragging Squad. The college has an Anti-Ragging Committee which governs the prevention of any means of Ragging. The college is proud to have not witnessed any incidents of Ragging till date.
